Total Antioxidant Score (ORAC)

20,174

This score represents the estimated Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity of your selected foods.

What Are Antioxidants & ORAC?

Antioxidants are compounds that inhibit oxidation, a chemical reaction that can produce free radicals and chain reactions that may damage the cells of organisms. Your body naturally produces antioxidants, but you also get them from food.

The ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) score is a method of measuring the antioxidant capacity of different foods in a test tube. While not a direct measure of effect in the human body, a higher ORAC score generally indicates that a food has a greater potential to neutralize harmful free radicals.

A diet rich in high-ORAC foods is associated with numerous health benefits, including reduced risk of chronic diseases, better aging, and improved overall health.
