URL Cleaner & Privacy Guard

Reclaim your links! Instantly remove tracking parameters (like UTM) to shorten URLs and enhance your privacy.

What Are Tracking Parameters?

When you click a link from a newsletter, social media post, or advertisement, the URL is often longer than it needs to be. This is because it contains special snippets of text called tracking parameters (or query strings). These parameters don't change the destination of the link, but they feed data back to marketers and analysts.

Common Examples We Remove:

UTM Parameters

The most common type, used by Google Analytics. They look like utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, etc. They tell website owners where you came from (e.g., a newsletter, a specific tweet).

Facebook Click ID (fbclid)

Added to outbound links from Facebook and Instagram. It allows Facebook to track your activity on other websites, linking it back to your social media profile.

Google Click ID (gclid)

Used by Google Ads. When you click a paid ad in Google search results, this parameter is added to track the ad's performance and conversion rate.

Other Analytics Tags

Many other analytics platforms use their own tracking tags (like _ga). Our tool is designed to catch and remove the most prevalent ones.

Why Should You Clean Your URLs?

  • Enhanced Privacy: Stripping tracking tags prevents companies from monitoring your browsing habits across different sites. It's a simple step to reduce your digital footprint.
  • Improved Readability & Shareability: Clean URLs are shorter, look less intimidating, and are easier to copy, paste, and share with others. A clean link is a trustworthy link.
  • Better Aesthetics: Long, clunky URLs filled with gibberish are ugly. Cleaned URLs are neat and professional, which is especially important when you're sharing links in documents, presentations, or on social media.

Take Control: Use this tool anytime you copy a link that looks suspiciously long. Clean it, copy it, and share with confidence!
